PlayStation Now service is shutting down on everything except the PS4 and PC
When the PlayStation on official blog publishes post about the update of the PlayStation Now, it would seemed that something exciting is happening with their cloud gaming service, but actually its being shutdown on most platforms. Worldwide from 15.8. of this year PlayStation Now will be available only for the PlayStation 4 consoles and Windows.
The service that allows streaming and playing PS3 games on different devices will be first removed early as 1.4. on the Sony Bravia TVs. Till already mentioned date will cease to operate also on the PlayStation 3, PS Vita, PS TV, Sony Blu-Ray devices and Samsung TVs. Sony hereby warns subscribers to cancel their subscriptions on time if it last more then 15.8. as it wouldn`t got unnecessarily charged.
The reason of this apparently well-thought out decision is devoting the resources to improving the services on the PS4 and PC on which they hope to continue to develop the service. We assume, therefore, that PlayStation Now even though was not crowded with customers on smart televisions and other devices, so was not cost-effective for Sony.
