Mass Effect: Andromeda achieves 'Gold' status - development completed

  • 314

Mass Effect: Andromeda has reached 'Gold' status, meaning BioWare has completed its initial development on the highly anticipated action-RPG.
The developers confirmed this on Twitter today using the picture of a golden Pathfinder.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a Season Pass for DLC as BioWare's GM Aaryn Flynn confirmed.

Andromeda launches on all platforms on March 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

A multiplayer beta is expected to launch at an earlier date.

As was to be expected ME: A will not run on every potato PC as the system requirements show.

Seeing all this news about mass effect including now with the no season pass thing, makes me think the game might actually turn really... good.

Like how many companies openly announce their games that are complete? It takes a pretty healthy amount of confidence to do that, and it makes me hopeful about the game.

Then again EA aren't amateurs on marketing strategy. Still, the no season pass DLC makes me actually hopeful for the game, and bioware might have learned from their day 1 DLC mistakes.

A Frozen Treat

Will not run on my potato video card :( Will probably watch youtubers(as well as oxbox). No dlc season pass highly boosts up the company rep in my eyes, I see dlcs as more of an "encore" thing than what a lot of game companies are doing - splitting up what should be a complete game.

Will not have a "Season Pass for DLC". Does that mean no DLCs at all ?

Planetary

I want to play it. But I need to replay all previous Mass Effect games first..

Let me make an educated guess: It will have future DLC. Not including a season pass will make them even more money.

Oh! You ARE sick!

Thats (sadly) exactly how I understood it. Let's hope we are wrong. BioWare, how about a good Story expansion which will be worth the money (look at Witcher 3 for a great example!)?
