Mass Effect Andromeda have punished pirates with unpatched faces and animations
The PC version of Mass Effect Andromeda from space pirates has protected itself with the notorious Denuvo anti-tamper protection, but we know that Denuvo is no more terror and fear of tight pocket gamers, so its protection has been cracked in the record two weeks. But, EA has struck back and it seems that the pirates will still have to suffer for being naughty.
Even though it was not written in the official list of changes for the last patch, with it into the game also was inserted and the latest version of Denuvo technology that until now has never been broken. The same protection method is used by Nier Automata and Dead Rising 4 on the PC. That was discovered and confirmed by digging through the lines of code in game`s .exe files.
In practice this means that pirated versions have access to the game just before patch 1.5, that`s the patch which brought the first great wave of changes including fixed faces and animations of characters. How much we understand, it is about a fully functional version of the game, but those who are sensitive to the appearance of the characters might consider buying it so the story would not be destroyed by cosmic monsters.
