A cat with a jetpack can still appear in Overwatch

In the past, we've heard the story that Blizzard was thinking about adding to the list of Overwatch heroes a character known as the "Cat with Jetpack", but the idea did not lead anywhere. According to new data from PCGamesN, the development team again thinks about adding a cat to the shooter.

Conducting a session of answers to questions from Reddit with the lead screenwriter Overwatch Michael Chu, the conversation turned to Jeff Kaplan and the recent announcement that we were just a hair away from the appearance of a cat in the character lineup.

When one of the users asked what, in his opinion, could be the prehistory of a cat with a jetpack, Chu replied:

Frankly, I've been thinking a lot about the jetpack cat since Jeff mentioned it. I was not on the team when the original concept came up, but I thought that Torbjörn might have an interesting cat, and who knows what else Torbjörn has left behind.

This is far from an official statement that a cat in Overwatch is worth waiting for, but if top developers think about it, it all depends on their ability to write a character into history.
