Valve changes the system of trading cards on Steam

Along with the rush of games on Steam over the past two years has also came rush of games that on Steam are released how the developer would with fraud get to the money. The primary earnings for such games are based on the principle of farm trading cards on Steam. As Valve explained;

"False developers exploit the ability to generate keys for their games on Steam. They generate thousands of such keys and share them with bots that then keep their games open to compile trading cards. Even if no real player ever buys those fake games, their creators can still make money from cards. "

Valve has decided to end that, and the tactic that they are planning to achieve will reflect on the entire economy of trading cards. Namely, the game will have to prove in the future that it is not fake before to the players cards are being shared, just how it was until now.

Whether the game is real or fake will be decided on the set of different data generated during the gameplay. The problem so far was that it was difficult for Valve to recognize what a fake game was before it passed through Steam Greenlight. Now, however, they hope that fraudsters will not have the chance to even try to launch fake games if they cannot make money on them.

Most of the real games the new system should not hit so would players feel. In the worst case, the cards will be received later, that is after a while. The change will not affect the ability that cards you earned in the game you sell for money with which then you can buy other games.
