Peter Jacksons AR-company showed the first demo on iOS

Peter Jackson - director of "The Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit" and a handful of paintings, opened a studio engaged in AR-projects. The Wingnut AR team presented their first gameplay demo.

The demonstration took place at an Apple conference where creative director Wingnut Alasdair Coall showed a game that allows you to look into the augmented reality by viewing the space port on the usual table. There are several characters wandering around the surface. While the ship sits on the site, an attack of raiders takes place, which can be viewed from any angle - just point the devay.

It is not clear whether this demo will have development, since this could be just a technical demo, but even in this form it looks impressive - real-time rendering on Unreal Engine 4, correct position tracking. It remains to answer the question - how to play?

This is that next level I didn't even know I wanted! Truly amazing! But how long before someone makes this a reality and ready for us?

Existential

I love hearing about AR developments.  They eventually will all build upon each other to give us something special.
