Intel will soon reveal the eighth generation of Core processors
Regardless of how much you love Intel processor, should be admitted that the competition of AMD Ryzen processors has done its job. More precisely, they will do so soon as Intel is gearing up to launch a new, eighth generation of Core Processor on the 21st of this month.
Should it cause a wonderment? Well, not really, but the fact is that this announcement comes relatively fast since the launch of the Kaby Lake generation just passed over half a year. It is true that the so-called. Coffee Lake processors are unlikely to be sold this year, but it is also so clear that Intel will cut the time gap between generations of its processors. In comparison, previous cycles generally lasted about year and a half or 18 months.
It is also interesting that Coffee Lake processors should not make a big break against the previous generation as they will use the same 14 nanometer process of production. It is only believed that the number of cores will increase from four to six, and it is doubtful that the new line of processors will not be compatible with the existing motherboards for Skylake and Kaby Lake generations.
