Publisher THQ Nordic bought development studio Black Forest Games

  • 20

Developing studio Black Forest Games was founded in 2012 and is known for working on games such as Rogue Stormers, Helldorado, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and upcoming Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back.

This studio recently, for unknown amount, bought publisher THQ Nordic and with that gained rights to some of its intellectual property, specifically Giana Sisters, Helldorado and Rogue Stormers. Except that, founders of Black Forest Games have sold their shares so development studio fully belongs to THQ Nordic.

Fortunately, founders will not be out of work and will continue to run their "own" studio. Except that, THQ Nordic noted that Black Forest is currently working on an unannounced project for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

the behaviour of THQNordic is more and more friendly to their existing customers (gamers)
