Fortnite Battle Royale played over a million people

A kind of Battle Royale mode for Fortnite proved to be a good move for Epic Games in the video game world. Namely, this title came out two days ago, and within 24 hours more than a million players participated in the competitive battle.

Of course, such a success has been shared by the developer on social networks, but he did not give any details that would make it clear to us whether this was the total number of players within 24 hours or million of people played at the same time. Also, it is not clear how many percent of people have attracted a certain platform, in other words, whether more PC players played Battle Royale than those playing on the consoles.

We assume that the million-digit number refers to the whole day what still is not close to the PUBG, their greatest competition. Namely, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is only available on PC, but at the same time is being played by more than 1.4 million people. Also, the game was sold in 10 million copies even though it has not yet been pulled out of the Early Access Phase.

However, this does not mean that Epic Games should not be proud of the success of their own game. Exactly the opposite! This is still a huge number that is not often seen in such circumstances. Beyond that, it is important to point out that Fortnite Battle Royale leads PUBG in two things - it is available on consoles and is completely free to play.
