There's just one week left to vote in the Golden Joystick Awards 2017

Last year, the Golden Joystick Awards opened its doors to the public for first time in its three decade-spanning history. The same applies this year—and you've only one week left to cast your vote.

Overwatch and Dark Souls 3 won big in 2016, but this year's winners must be determined by your votes. Head in this direction to cast your vote, and as a reward for tackling all 21 categories, you'll get your choice of a gaming eBook worth up to £15.99. Choose between PC Gamer's Best PC Games ever, Edge's 100 Greatest Videogames, GamesMaster's Ultimate Guide to Minecraft Vol 20, Retro Gamer's Book of Arcade Classics, The Nintendo Switch Book, and The PlayStation Book celebrating over 20 years of PlayStation.

The 35th Golden Joystick Awards presented with OMEN by HP takes place in London on November 17. Voting is open now through November 3.

Hm well they promised Dark Souls to everyone some years back and in the end only a few got it and those weren't even allowed to enter mostly (was only ment to be for UK and Europe). They recieved a lot of hate. And I mean A LOT! Well sure I can understand it. I guess this was the reason to not promise a free game again.

I believe last year they offered voters 3 games for $1 via GreenmanGaming (Spec Ops: The Line, Sid Meier’s Pirates and a mystery game).

An eBook's probably much less of a headache to organise.

Gah,fuck I still remember that! And they send out that apology with few percent off for their game store. "No Dark Souls? No Problem! Just take this free ad from us." The whole giveaway was an unbelievabel shit show.

I suppose the giveaway was used to gain attention only, not to actually give the game for free ....
