Makers of Alien: Isolation are working on a new game that will define its own genre

British team Creative Assembly already has full hands of work with their Total War series, but that has not discouraged them that on the side work on the new, secret project. They have not yet officially announced it, but as they look for employees which would work on a new IP, we have some indications that this is about a very ambitious project.

Namely, the creators of Total War have outlined to create a game that will create its own (sub) genre. We know that in this game there will be weapons, gadgets and different skills, and the mention of balancing, advancing, and designing challenges suggests that the game might have some RPG element.

Creative Assembly is by no means known for such creative risks beyond the genre of strategic games. Three years ago, they launched a very good quality Alien: Isolation, but this game failed to earn a profit for the publishing house Sega despite being based on a famous franchise. It is possible that their plan is now quite opposite so the success they plan to achieve through a completely new name on the market of games.

Here I am, ready to play. Gaming enthusiast without free time to actually play video games but eager to learn anything

An Alien videogame with RPG elements? hmmm that could be great. They need to take their time to do this properly, I would not like to see them fail.

Interstellar

As an Alien fan I loved Alien Isolation, they achieved what the movie franchise couldnt since Aliens.

This seems utterly vague and speculative. Some sources would have been good.

Takeaway: Creative Assembly might be working on a new game.
