PUBG and Fortnite have killed the game The Culling

Last year the game The Culling started Early Access on Steam also before it came to the alpha version. It was one of the first games oriented exclusively on battle royale genre, which was then in its early days. The game after two years of development was finally launched in full release two months ago, but it would been better if it never came out.

Namely, The Culling has never really had a real chance against PUBG and Fortnite then by release was played by a very small number of players. Until last week it was played by a total of 15 players - what is a fact which developer is not ashamed of because it is publicly known that since the fifth month the game was not actively played by not even a hundred people.

Given this failure, the development team decided to lift their hands from the game and move their efforts to the next project. The Culling will no longer receive new content, but will remain active to a small number of players still playing it. This probably will not last long so The Culling will be closed as soon as the number of players falls to zero.

Planetary

It's a brutal market. LOTS of multiplayer games will go down while a few thrive.

Interstellar

Funny, I was talking to a friend about these two games and I brought up The Culling as an example of the same game type that came before them.

Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name

Maybe too many similar games?

Modest

I guess you could say that The Culling was...

isolated and forcibly removed from a larger group that it once belonged to

Interstellar

Not the competition but the devs killed the game with bad updates..
