Steam Winter Sale 2017 has begun

  • 115

Steam users and PC gamers around the world are gearing up for what is set to be the biggest Steam sale to date - the Steam Winter Sale 2017.

Valve’s market leading digital distribution service for PC gamers is expected to put thousands of games on sale, with discount going as low as 90%. The date for the sale, if not yet announced by Steam, was leaked previously this year. The sale is set to begin on 21st of December at 7 PM CET/10 AM PT/1 PM ET and should last roughly two weeks.

Furthermore, Valve announced the nominees for the 2017 Steam Awards earlier today, and the voting schedule fits nicely with the typical Holiday sale schedule.

Steam sale is a great time to catch up on your gaming needs and fill your game library at a considerable discount. What games are the Alienware Arena community looking forward to getting the most? Let us know in the comments!

Update: The sale started and will continue until 4th of January, 2018. Happy (deal) hunting!

Dodging responsibilities since 1993

Every sale I tell myself that I won't be getting anything, and then every time I get excited when it finally comes and end up buying a ton of games.

Hoping to get Dead by Daylight this year as well as every Portal-esque puzzle game I can get my hands on. Any recommendations?

Onwkings

As usually I will buy a lot of games, but I will play only a few.

I just bought Braid on a recommendation from a coworker.  I hope it's good.

I usually wait until the last day and then decide if I am picking up anything or not. Ever since the Steam store page is busy with way too many requests I won't hammer it. There is no point to anger myself and I try to stay as calm as possible. THey are not running out of digital games because there's an infinite amount of them so no rush. Will grab the holiday cards soon as well.

If you are getting Steam wallet for Christmas you should wait as well. And then see what you are going to buy.

Looks like a copy and paste of the Black Friday sale. And every other sale for the past two years.

At least there are cards, I suppose.

But that will always be the case. The trick is finding the actually good deals. I, for one, found both Planet Coaster and Quantum Conundrum at an all time low. Might as well get them since I wanted to try them at some point.
