Cuphead proudly and deservedly sold in two million copies

  • 150

Just its not too interesting to hear how some videogame has managed to attract another million players, but Cuphead in some way has just a little bit privileged position. Namely, this year's Indie jewel from Studio MDHR with its visual style and brutal platform shares impressed so much the gaming audience - one character even built up a fully functional Cuphead arcade cabinet - that it is simply regretful not to share its success with others.

So, first of all, it should be noted that the first million was broken only two weeks after the game was released, and the co-founder of the studio that Cuphead presented to the world has revealed that this number has recently doubled.

Writing about this success, Chad Moldenhauer said the following: "Even in our most craziest dreams, we never thought that our crazy little characters would be accepted by so many fans from all over the world; and we are still honored with your support. So, all those who created fan art, composed memories, performed songs, obeyed various challenges, displayed to others their successes and failures, or just played Cuphead and just enjoyed it; we love and appreciate all of you from the depths of our heart. "

I'm glad for them. They did something else than copy-n-pasting todays recipe and they succeeded.

I hope after good sales, the developers will make another masterpiece.

Seems to be the indie GOTY

What hasn't been said is that over half of those was been sold on Steam according to SteamSpy. So well deserved and onto 3 million now. People just like this game so it does good in the video game market.

Can I interest anyone in my new early access game "Mughands"? There's actually no enemies, and you just jump dash into walls to knock them over in order to progress.

Nice to see that originality is still rewarded.  Maybe that's something these big time publishers should consider.

Interstellar

I wouldnt gush about it being original and masterpiece. Its just a side scroller with a cool art style.   Its a very good one and deserving appreciation and gamers hard earned money but lets not get crazy.  Nice to see people vote with their wallet though.  Need to enjoy good devs until they are bought out by EA and killed off.
