Sea of Thieves closed beta will set sail this month

  • 588

We hope you have loaded the rum and found a crew for your pirate ship in the upcoming Sea of Thieves title, because in two weeks the selected sea thieves will set sail out to the open sea filled with treasure. In other words, the closed beta of the most ambitious games from Rare begins on Wednesday, January 24 at 8 am and ends on Monday, 29 January at 9 am.

Given that this is a closed beta testing, this phase will only be available to certain pirates or players who have become part of the Sea of Thieves Insider program before January 12 last year and / or those who pre-order the game. According to Microsoft, all qualified players in the recent beta will get the real taste of pirate life that can be expected when the full version of the game comes out.

It should be pointed out that a closed beta will not protect the NDA contract or confidentiality agreement, which means that you can publicly share screenshots and gameplay videos as much as you like.

The game looks great, I just want it to be available on Steam!

Wow the graphic looks stunning . I can't wait to try it out.

I got this game mixed up with Skull and Bones from Ubisoft (which also has a beta upcoming) and was thinking even if it is on Steam it will still use the Ubisoft client.  Ooops.

Can't wait to see it on Steam, looks good.

well you better get used to it because AFAIK this is coming on Xbox and Windows 10 Store

I was in the alpha and the game wasn't very fun.  Combat sucks and the sailing was cool like the first 2 times.  I'll try it out again but I doubt it'll be any better.
