Overwatch League got the first female competitor
Overwatch League is the most demanding professional competition in Overwatch where twelve teams from all over the world are fighting for the title of the best. The league has already entered the eighth week of playing and it is clear to everyone that some teams have already begun to change their rosters and bring new players. One of these teams is Shanghai Dragons which will write the history of Overwatch eSport as the only team for which will play a professional female player of video games.
Geguri is a former player of team ROX Orcas and to the eSports scene Overwatch has broke through as one of the best ranked tanks in the game. Her games with Zarya did not go unnoticed and she was even accused of cheating because of the perfect targeting that some of the viewers did not believe was work of her hands.
Shanghai Dragons are currently at the bottom of the table without a win in the competition so far. With two more games until the end of the first leg of the league, Shanghai Dragons will look for the first win against team Fuel from Dallas and the team Valiant located in Los Angeles. After such results changes in team should surprise no one, so will like that alongside Geguri to the team join two South Korean players, Fearless and Ado, and one Chinese player whose identity is still unknown.
We hope that the Shanghai Dragons will not be the last team to bring a female player to their ranks and that it will from now become a more constant, both in Overwatch and other eSports titles. Was it how it was, today we can watch Geguri pushing the payload to the potential victory of her new team.
