Development team Boss Key led by Cliff Bleszinski, one of the creators of the Unreal Tournament and Gears of War, has a turbulent year behind himself. After they finally lift their hands from an expensive and failed project called Lawbreakers, in the Boss Key have turned to imitate the colorful phenomenon called Fortnite. Their freshly cooked battle royale game Radical Heights undoubtedly shares some motives with Fortnite, but this is not the only link, and perhaps no coincidence.

Namely, in recent months, a few employees from Boss Key have gone to the roles in Epic Games, Fortnite makers. Among them were Arjan Brussee, co-founder of Boss Key. Team leader is clearly frustrated with such a situation then via Twitter to Epic Games said to stop stealing his employees.

Cliff Bleszinski believes that Epic is sabotaging his team because of their mutual competition, and that things become more complicated, exactly Bleszinski was an employee of Epic Games and his new game uses Epic Games engine.

On these accusations answered also employees who have gone to Epic Games, claiming that it is not true that Epic has been poaching and stealing. “With all due respect, assuming that Epic is the one starting contact / poaching is a bit presumptuous. We all had our own reasons for making the choice to leave BKP for Epic, and to act like we are commodities being stolen is a bit hurtful. We are people first and foremost,” said William McCarroll, a former employee of Boss Key.
