Milla Jovovich to star in Monster Hunter movie adaptation
Even before the Resident Evil film series reached its final end, it was known that director Paul W.S. Anderson with the Constantin Film bought the rights to another Capcom franchise - Monster Hunter. Then about the film we did not know much, but the Variety portal has now learned more details, including a major actress engagement.
In no surprise set of events, Milla Jovovich, the main star of Resident Evil films, is hired for the film. Jovovich is otherwise married to Paul W.S. Anderson, and they've been coming to projects as couple for years now. Milla is probably not a big gamer, but Anderson is known for his video game to movie adaptations; except Resident Evil there is Alien vs Predator and Mortal Kombat from 1995.
Variety also reports that the Monster Hunter film will start shooting in September of this year, and Cape Town in South Africa is selected as shooting location. The budget of the film allegedly revolves around 60 million dollars.
