Hellblade sold in more than a million copies
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has already proven itself as a viable project for Ninja Theory, but has now achieved another result worth of mention. The game in less than a year has been sold in more than a million copies on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. For a new, unknown game without publisher and rich marketing campaign this is a very important success.
In doing this to the game helped a few things. First, the creators of this game have been awarded with several prestigious BAFTA awards. Secondly, Hellblade can be purchased with 40% discount on Steam's Summer Sale these days.
As for Ninja Theory, their financial issue is solved irrespective of Hellblade's success. If you have not heard, their talent has been recognized by Microsoft and has hired them to make games for the Xbox platform.
