The Steam Halloween Sale 2018 Has Started!

  • 47

Every year: Steam has launched the "Halloween Sale 2018". The discount promotion runs until November 1, 2018.

Top sellers call the shop owners: Vampyr (-33%), Killing Floor 2 (-67%), Graveyard Keeper (-25%), Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (-50%) ), Dead by Daylight (-50% and Free-to-play Week), Hunt Showdown (-25%), 7 Days to Die (-64%), We Happy Few (-25%), The Forest (- 33%), Left 4 Dead 2 (-80%), Darkest Dungeon (-70%) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (-34%).

This is no big sale such as the summer or winter sale, so while there are no special sale cards and badges you can still grab big discounts on the games above and more. Make sure to check your wishlist!

And at the end of this sale your bank account might look as scary as your new games ;-)

Still pretty human

Your post barley shares any information. You even Tell others to comment the post only to have a reason to recieve bumps.

Still pretty human

Just want to add ( on phone can’t edit):  „Sale is from x to y. Pls comment“ is no post that belongs to a gaming news section if you ask me. This section is already filled with copy and pasters who just hold the left mouse button and move it so we can at least try to get some creativity in it.

Few points to be made:

1. iamkarisee made that thread reminding people in the AWA On-Topic and We Love Games to not make duplicated threads of the same subjects of discussion. Gaming news articles are a different story.

2. Admins of this site don't feature whoever posts the first article, they feature whoever makes the best article. Being first does not matter.

3. This article was for once, written by hand. It was not copy-pasted. I prefer an article from someone who made the effort to actually write it. The admins got so used to feature copy-pasted articles, to the point where i doubt they care about quality control since there's no point in it. So when someone decides to make something original, it gets ignored and buried unless they take the initiative to contact the admins so they can be on their radar.

4. Yes, mods of this site do delete articles that are duplicates, and the process of elimination is done by leaving the one who posted first. The reason behind that is because literally everyone on this site copy-pastes articles, so the guy/gal that posts their copy-pasted articles first, will have their threads left alone if someone reports a possible duplication of the same article.

If someone makes an ORIGINAL article, even if it's not the first, then i believe the admins can make the decision to delete the article that was copy-pasted, and not the original one. It is done in order to encourage more people of this section to make articles of their own. If a mod happens to delete an article actually written by someone and not copy-pasted, then the author of that article can contact the admin to reinstate that thread.

@sulimen it’s also about view count when it comes to feautering posts. At least that’s how I understood it.
