Visitors to the BlizzCON will have to install the AXS Mobile App on their phone.
Many fans are not very pleased with this fact. Users decided to learn more about the application and DeathKoil dedicated a whole post to it on Reddit. As it turned out, the AXS Mobile App collects a lot of information:
- reads the list of contacts;
- gets access to the location, including GPS;
- access to information Wi-Fi connections;
- access to Internet data;
- overview of Internet connections;
- full access to the web;
- access to Bluetooth, including settings and connections;
- access allowing the device not to enter sleep mode;
- battery status;
- autorun at power on;
- access to vibration;
- access to system settings.
Also, according to the user agreement of the application, published on the official website, the company may collect the above-mentioned information and share it with third parties:
Even if you do not look at the list of "rights" of the application, Blizzard fans point out that "now you will definitely need a phone, not only to play Diablo, but also just to get on BlizzCON."
There is also another point of view: some forum members say that the same Instagram uses a lot more “rights” and there’s nothing wrong with that. And for those who do not have a phone or "if at the most crucial moment you have a depleted phone or you cannot enter the application for any other reason, contact the help desk - they will help you there." - Blizzard.
In any case, the option of accessing the BlizzCON without the AXS Mobile App will clearly be difficult.
