Rare have announced their next title, Everwild

At X019, Rare's next game, titled Everwild, has been revealed with a short trailer:

For now, the details about this upcoming title are scarce to none:

While Everwild is still early in development, we are very excited about the unique potential of the game we are creating. The Everwild team is focused on building an experience that allows for new ways to play in a natural and magical world. The development team, led by Executive Producer Louise O’Connor, is creating something truly original and incredibly special that aims to be more than just a new IP. Everwild will give you memorable, engaging and meaningful experiences for players everywhere to share. We cannot wait to share more with you in the future.

From the trailer, the game looks absolutely superb, the game world looks magical and is full of strange, bizarre creatures and breathtaking locations for players to explore. The game's very cartoonish, something Rare are known for (the style's somewhat similar to Sea of Thieves, but focused more on fantasy), but for now we don't have any clue what type of game it'll be (most likely they learnt a thing or two from their previous foray into action-adventure games, and they plan to build upon SoT's features). The game might have a multiplayer element as there are more characters in the trailer that travel together and maybe befriending animals will be a part of the experience.

For now there's no release date, but we know the game'll release on PC and XBONE.
