According to Battlefield 2042, the World and the Nations collapsed and slowly chokes to death (Climate catastrophe, less population, no food, water, and energy). The United States and Russia are in war.
The map Kaleidoscope: Is set in South Korea and has tornadoes and downtown skyline.
The map Hourglass: Is set in a Persian Gulf metropolis and has a torrid, red-hued sandstorm.
The map Breakaway: Is set in northern Antarctica and has as an industry clashes with nature and ice.
The player-count has been juiced to 128 players (though the cap remains at 64 players on PS4 and Xbox One).
The gameplay: Conquest and Breakthrough modes returned. "Depleting tickets and holding control points". But the world itself is against the Players.
The class system is now a specialists system whit special abilitys like the operators in Rainbow Six Siege. For an example. Maria Falck, "the Medic". She has a healing pistol and as the passive ability when she reviwe a solder he will have full health. But this is not all. We will get 10 different specialists at launch.
There will be a squad-based" module called Hazard Zone.
