If you were lucky enough to receive a code over the last couple of days, congratulations, you have to redeem it through Arc. I don't know the specifics about whether it is account-wide, character specific, or any other possible stipulations.
In the chat, however, it seems to had been given to all sorts of players from inactive to active. The Andromeda giveaway last year sometime specifically stated something about welcoming back to STO whereas this email, I've not seen this one yet, is supposed to state something about appreciating.
If you didn't get one, I'm sorry with you, but were not alone. These type of schemes always beckons the question out of me: What harm would it had done to offer this to all their players? Especially since they don't reveal what criteria they used to decide who gets what & who is SoL. It could be legitimate it could be discrimination who the hell knows LOL.
