PC players bought Destiny 2, got a piece of paper in the box

It is no longer strange when physical copies of PC games come with a disc that just starts downloading games from the internet. In fact, it is no longer strange if some games do not go out in a physical release. But, it's a bit funny what Activision did to players who set hundreds of euros for Collector's Edition Destiny 2 on the PC. Namely, it has been revealed that no physical edition of Destiny 2 PC comes with an optical disc (DVD).

Instead of a disc, in the boxes is a piece of paper is shaped in the form of a DVD. On the back of the same is the code that activates a copy of the game on Battle.net. To make things even more fun, that piece of paper is complete white - Activision did not even bother to put some picture from the game, or even the name of the game.

However, this is not the first case for PC players to get a piece of paper in the box. Last year, EA launched its Titanfall 2 in almost the same way - just with a box inside which it had written the download code for the game on Origin.

This sure was "WTF??" Moment for them. However physical copies are dying out fast anyway.

Interstellar

Physical games are useless nowaday.

It s only plastic and paper waste.

Online shops are the future

Resident Metal Head

Wow, that would piss me off if I still collected physical copies of games. If they're not actually going to provide a physical copy, they shouldn't sell crap like that. Just go full digital, and don't mislead people.
