Cyberpunk 2077's Side quests will influence the game's main story quests
vSide quests usually take place in a role play game off the main story. Not so in Cyberpunk 2077. Because here the developers want to create a connection between world, story and quests.
If you accept a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077, then you should also think carefully about these choices. Because the quests will not be as self-contained as you might know from other RPGs. Miles Tost, Level Designer at CD Project Red, explains that side quests will tell interesting and exciting stories that are interwoven with the game world.
CD Project Red's Level Designer Miles Toast said in an intveriew with GamingBolt:
“Side quests are great opportunities for us to tell stories of our cyberpunk world. After all, despite not being a part of the main questline, they are still connected to the world and can elaborate on certain parts of it, like the characters. So it’s all interwoven. And yes, that also means that our side quests could affect the main story.”
For example, they can affect characters in the world and even influence the main story. So the developers want to create an interconnected, living world in which everything can interact. And you too are part of this world, so your decisions always have some consequences.
Currently it is not clear when Cyberpunk will be released in 2077.
