Get into military hacking with Nite Team 4!
It was February 27th 2019 when an incredible game hit the Steam game client! The game is called Nite Team 4 and has everything to do with military hacking. If you were always intrigued by hacking and you wanted to do some on your own but you didn't have the knowledge, then this is the game you were waiting for!
Nite Team 4 is developed by Alice & Smith. A game developer studio also known for other incredible games as The Black Watchmen and Ahnayro: The Dream World. Alice & Smith already won awards for Best PC Game, Startup Competition; Nominee Best Indie Game, PAX EAST 2018 and Winner Startup of the Year, Numix Gala 2015. In other words it wasn't the first time the studio came with a good game.
About the game
NITE Team 4 is a hacking simulation and strategy game with Alternate Reality Game elements connected to The Black Watchmen universe. You play as a new recruit in the sophisticated hacking cell, Network Intelligence & Technical Evaluation (NITE) Team 4. Engaged in cyberwarfare with black hat groups and hostile states, you will be in a struggle to penetrate highly secure targets. Your job is to use the STINGER hacking platform to infiltrate hardened computer networks and coordinate strike teams on the ground to carry out missions that feature real espionage tradecraft terminology taken from leaked NSA documents.
Gameplay
Players will use system commands in a specially built hacking environment called Stinger OS (Operating System). This OS is inspired by actual platforms like Kali Linux. In that Stinger OS players will have to use several programs to gather information on networks, hack those networks, steal files from or install malware on those networks, etc. The game includes more than 70 missions and operations broken down into various categories for every level of player. There is also an academy which will help you learn all the basics you need to become one hell of a hacking secret agent.
But that's not all. On top of the 4 main operations there are also bounties. Hourly, daily and weekly world drops let you get various jobs from intelligence agencies around the world. NSA, CIA, GCHQ, CSIS, MSS, GRU… With more than 20 bounties, it’s up to you to decide who you want to help and forge your reputation worldwide to unlock rare and epic bounties.
And on top of all that there are also the Open World Missions. If you want more challenging missions, each month a set of missions let you blend the game with real-life objectives and resources. Online research, fake websites, cellphones and more in an alternate reality extension of the game.
And there is the Hivemind which will offer you a whole bunch of player created missions.
As you can see, this is a never ending hacking game which has to offer a lot!
