20th Century Fox creates digital animation series of Alien: Isolation

It's Aliens 40th anniversary and 20th Century Fox has created an Alien: Isolation digital animation series in cooperation with Alien: Isolations developers and production partners Reverse Engineering Studios and DVGroups, it aligns existing cinematics and cutscenes from the game to a movie experience filled with first-person scenes from the gameplay along with brand new, never seen scenes.

For those not familiar with the game's story here is a short outline:

It follows the story of Ellen Ripleys daughter, Amanda Ripley, who she left behind in the extended version of first movie (1979) for a contract with Weyland-Yutani Corporation when Amanda was 10 years old, promising her she would be back for her 11th birthday.

In course of the events in the first movie Ellen is left floating in space in an escape pod and in the second movie we learn that she remained in cryostasis for 57 years until she is found and brought back to civilization where she has to realize her daughter Amanda has already died to old age.

This game takes place 15 years after the happenings of the first movie, before the second movie, when Amanda is approached by a Weyland-Yutani employee who informs her the flight-recorder of the ship that Ellen went missing with has been located and she is offered a place on the ship that is going to retrieve it.

You can guess how the story goes along when they arrive...
