Vulkan API Testing on Live PC
Ubisoft announces Vulkan support for Rainbow Six: Siege for patch 4.3 and will be testing live starting today. Vulkan is a graphics API, which acts as the middleman between the game and graphics card. Ubisoft is testing to see how it will run on over a different range of hardware and should run better performance over DirectX 11 and features different new features such as Render Target Alisasing, Dynamic Render Scaling, Aspync and Dynamic Texture Indexing (all of which is explain in great detail in the post link.) These new features and Vulkan should allow users to make it more easier to finally gain 144 frames per second for 144Hz monitors and overall performance. Ubisoft is asking people to help test the new feature as it is now available as a new launch option for Steam and Uplay.
